Where lived experience meets creative expertise.

As an Aboriginal-owned and led creative agency, we work with care and purpose. As our agency grows and brings in more unique perspectives, we stay true to our origin — creating the kind of work that tells meaningful stories and delivers real-world outcomes.

We are a team of creatives, strategists, and deep thinkers with lived experience spanning Aboriginal heritage, LGBTQIA+ communities, gender, age, cultural and neurodiversity — the kind of perspectives that deliver true impact.

Launching in 2020, Nani was co-founded by Kevin Wilson, a Wongutha man and graphic artist changing the way brands engage with Aboriginal culture and creativity, and Leigh Wood, an internationally experienced branding artist and commercial designer. Together, these two award-winning leaders created a meeting place — a space where ideas, collaborators and brands come together.

The Nani approach.

Our approach is explorative, sometimes bold, and always outcomes driven. Before creating anything, we first create a meeting place.

  • We see our role as a meeting place — bringing together culture, strategy, creativity and collaboration.

  • We work with care, bringing to life the kinds of stories that have the power to change behaviour, motivate action, and shape the way we engage with the world around us.

  • We bring lived experience to the table. The work we create then becomes a true representation of a meaningful story, not something manufactured. Because authenticity comes from real voices shaping the work.

  • Our approach to community engagement—where those we serve have a voice in the creative process—has become our signature, built on trust and respect.

  • We’re here to move the industry forward, not tick boxes. We work with organisations who know that diverse perspectives deliver better outcomes.

Never not supporting deadly talent.

At Nani, we support First Nations talent with fully paid, flexible internships, delivered through our partnership with Never Not Creative. Because we know that there’s a huge opportunity to see more storytellers — artists, illustrators, writers, strategists and graphic designers — take a seat at the table and make their mark on creative industries.
