State of Play presents a contemporary hub to new and diverse audiences at FringeWorld. Witness unexpected performances that prioritise local and emerging indie artists.

Nani developed the branding and collateral for the 2023 season of State of Play, with an overarching theme of ‘Air Guitar’.

In the essence of play - there are barriers to break, and rules to bend. There’s a quality of exaggeration and expressive connection to the dance of ‘air guitar’. This exaggerated, dramatic, expressive approach has the ultimate potential to be bright, bold, fun, cheeky and adventurous.

We implemented the campaign across multiple touchpoints, including program brochure, wayfinding, billboards and digital applications.
